In Alaska we do fireworks on New Years Eve rather than on the 4th of July. In July we have round the clock sunlight, which is marvelous, but doesn't lend itself to fireworks.
What a great place to be living. I love Alaska! Yes, it's cold and snowy and, yep, it's wild and wide open and far from everywhere. I love all of that. What an incredibly beautiful place to be. The winter here is really only from November to about April. And the summers.......are incredible!
